Artist Consulting / Career Management

Luke & Eloy offers bundled in-depth artist services including consultation, marketing, public relations, and a variety of other services that artists need.

Artists selected for consultation will have strong potential and be at a level in their careers requiring laser-like focus on creation of work. Often, artists are forced to neglect creativity in favor of other equally pressing matters, just when their creativity is being viewed critically in the media.

Our services would fill this gap, allowing the artists to succeed both creatively and on a business level. Artists at this point in their careers will have sufficient sales of their work or income through other sources to balance the expense of our services. The net result for the artist would be the increased positive visibility and exhibition exposure they desire, less distraction with career management, and more time to create art and fulfill commission opportunities.

Consultation can include all or parts of: Overall assessment of strength areas, focus on specific marketing areas, regular meetings to discuss press and media work, develop impressive press kits and business identity for artist, rework website etc.

Advisor takes on the role of gatekeeper, handling and coordinating all incoming requests for exhibitions, photos, publications and so on directly and exclusively. In addition, advisor would actively seek out and consult with artist over placement into exhibitions and publications.

ABOUT US:

BRIGITTE MARTIN (Advisor, Artist Management), a native of Germany, apprenticed as a jewelry designer with Master Goldsmith Ulrike Brunsmann. She worked for Sotheby's and Michael Werner Gallery for a number of years before coming to the US in 1994 to open her own jewelry studio. She is currently the owner/director of Luke & Eloy Gallery in Pittsburgh, a contemporary art and fine craft gallery she founded in 2008. A special focus of the gallery is art jewelry. In May 2008, Brigitte created the popular social networking site Crafthaus, for which she also acts as site editor. Martin's work has been exhibited at the Museum of Art in Cleveland, and in galleries across the US. Martin continues to  produce commissioned work at her jewelry design studio.
